Investing in Social Enterprises: A Tale of Two Perspectives

Curious about how to best invest in and support social enterprises? Wondering what funders are looking for in a social enterprise? This is the event for you!
Come join SEA-LA and REDF for an educational and inspiring session on investment in social enterprises. We will share REDF’s unique model and discuss the unique aspects of investing in social enterprises. The evening will cover two perspectives—the funder’s and the social enterprise’s-- and examine how to think about investing in social enterprises, what to look for, and how to best position a social enterprise for funding.
REDF is a California-based intermediary that focuses on supporting social enterprises that are creating jobs and employment opportunities for people who face the greatest barriers to work. Since 1998, REDF has assessed hundreds of non-profit social enterprises, and funded and worked with many. As part of our work, we are endeavoring to build out the social enterprise ecosystem in southern California, through partnerships, education, and investment in social enterprise.
